The largest technology and business event of Argentina closed its 2018 edition with great success and has confirmed a second edition taking place on August 5, 6 and 7 of 2019.
Buenos Aires –August 2018- More than 3000 professionals from Argentina and Latin-America assisted the event where they were able to observe the latest innovations of products that will be the protagonists of the second semester of the year and of 2019. The main media of the country were present to cover these releases.
The first edition of Electronics Home took place from July 30 to August the first in Centro de exposiciones y Convenciones of Ciudad de Buenos Aires- CEC. For the first time, an event occupied the whole capacity of the venue, being more than 6000 m2, 130 stands with 300 well-known national and international brands from the categories: household appliances, cell phones, household items and IT.
“This edition exceeded our expectations; it was a successful for everyone in the industry, the retail and for the buyers and visitants that had the opportunity of attending as well as making new business deals, not only those sealed during the event, but also after” , affirmed Carlos Clur, CEO of Grupo Eletrolar. For the executive “this is a confirmation of the importance of having an event such as this one in the country, ideal for the market development and new opportunities to continue incrementing the growth of the sector.”
“The companies of the sector showed great enthusiasm to our proposal; the 100% of the space was sold; besides we received a strong institutional support, which confirms the necessity of an event of such magnitude in Argentina. This is the main reason o why we already confirmed the second edition in 2019, in which we expect to increase the amount of exhibitors and sponsored buyers for the event”, affirmed Clur. In 2018 150 purchasing executives and entrepreneurs of the region were invited with air tickets and accommodation by Grupo Eletrolar.
Featured releases: The Brand of cellphones Blu and of small appliances Cuisinart arrive Argentina brought by Newsan. Jose M. Alladio took part with the brands: Aurora and Drean, in which the new washing machine line was, highlighted “Drean Next” that counts with an innovating technology Eco applied. Peabody presented innovations in major appliances; Codini released a washing machine with inverter technology; Tuyu with its ventilation line2019; Liliana with its food processor Fullpros AM790; Logitech with its Wireless Combo MK850 Performance; Midea innovated with the refrigerator Side by Side Inox; Whirlpool, having the latest technology in kitchens, washing machines, refrigerators, within others.
Electronics Home Congress, presented speakers who addressed issues such as the new consumers profile in the digital era, the transformation companies are going through and the opportunities brought by new technologies in order to make business and reach final consumers.
The consultancy firm GFK, informed the number of total sale in the local market of household appliances, which had a growth of 10% in the first semester of 2018, over the previous year, having the SmartTVs as the protagonist of the semester. The Premium and Ultra-Premium segments grew the most during the year, adding 13 points of participation on the total market.
